Bart Bennett is a character in Life After Death and a survivor of the zombie outbreak introduced in Issue 21. He is one of the few remaining survivors of Hammond, and joins Eric Arder along with the rest of the survivors after the community is attacked by Alvin Harrison, but not without losing his boyfriend, Matt, to the engagement. Afterwards, Bart is overcome with rage, but begins his healing process at Victoria by being put on rotter duty beyond the walls.

While trying to escape the falling community of Victoria, Bart is barely bitten on the bottom of his neck by a zombie that managed to overpower him. Knowing he's doomed to die, Bart ventures deep into the city and sits against a building, waiting for his death to come. A day later, Rachel and Chris come across him, only barely alive. Bart begs for her to put him out of his misery, and before she shoots him in the head, he finds solace in the thought of reuniting with Matt in the next life.
